XML-Sitemaps.com - Must Use For Easy Sitemaps
I still find many people still struggle to get their sites well indexed with google. Most people would already be knowing about the site XML Sitemaps provides a very handy tool to general sitemaps in all formats, Text, HTML and XML supported by google. And the best thing is that it is free. For those who don’t know, sitemap can be defined as an archive or list of all URLs on a particular website which you want google to index.
You can generate a sitemap and submit it to google webmasters console to get your website indexed quickly in google. You can submit a Text, XML or HTML sitemap. I would prefer to submit a XML sitemap to google webmasters and upload an HTML sitemap to my website and link to it from footer. Just update the sitemap every few weeks (only if your site is regularly updated).
For example, i generated a sitemap for my Web Hosting website. Here are all the three of them, Text , HTML and XML

If you are using Wordpress, there is a plugin that will create the sitemap automatically. And the best thing is, it will submit it to Google each time you update your website.

If you use XML sitemaps auto discovery with robots.txt you can also have other search engines (Ask, Yahoo etc.) find your sitemaps.

Hey Aditya..thanks man….see one can use a free scripts to generate xml or text based sitemaps. Its not that hard. One can find good sitemap scripts at…

This is really cool and a free one which updates regularly is awesome
But for WP i m already using a plugin and for a non-WP this is the best i guess
