TechCrunch40 - Whats Hot In San Francisco Today ?
Right Now at the time of writing this post, its 6:40 PM of 17th September in India and about 5:30 AM of 17th September in San Francisco right now. 2 Hours from now, will begin one of the most exiting event of the century. Yes the TechCrunch20 (Now 40), The event which was my dream to attend but unfortunately i cannot at this time. The conference is full of ideas , ideas and only ideas. Though i won’t be able to attend it but i will try to gather as much information as possible and update my blog with it.
What is going to happen at TechCrunch40 ? Its all about business startups. 40 Most innovative startup technology companies and ventures will showcase their business plans and also side by side compete for a 50000$ prize. Each company will get some space in demopits where the companies will have stands to present their innovative products and business. Apart from this, they will get a 8 minutes session to talk about their business plans on the stage. The conference will also be attended by industry leaders, Investors, Venture Capitalists and biggest Tech Celebrities.
The things will begin at 7:30 A. M at The Palace Hotel, 2 New Montgomery Street, San Francisco, CA 94105 (Directions: Google, Yahoo, Live) with breakfast and a browse at the demopit followed by a 10 minutes welcome speech by Michael Arrington and Jason Calacanis. From 9:10 - 10:30 there will be session on Search and Discovery where 5 companies will talk about their business plans. (Powerset, Cognitive Code, CastTV, FAROO) and Viewdle. Then there will be a product launch party by Yahoo followed by a break and another session on Mobile and Communications where another 5 companies will pitch their business plans (Cubic Telecom, Yap, Trutap, Ceedo, Loudtalks).
Then starts one of the interesting events which is a Keynote Panel where Sequoia’s Michael Moritz interviews Marc Andreesen (founder Netscape & Opsware, co-founder Ning), David Filo (co-founder Yahoo), and Chad Hurley (co-founder YouTube). There will also be a Keynote chat where Michael Arrington will talk with Facebook’s CEO and Founder Mark Zuckerberg.
Other events today will include product launch by AOL and another two sessions of 5 companies each related to Communities and Collaboration and Crowd Sourcing
