TechCrunch40 Update : Humble Beginnings - A Review

Written on September 17, 2007 – 1:25 pm | by aditya |

For those who have read my morning post on TechCrunch40 : Whats Hot in San Francisco Today , they ( and me too ) would be waiting miserably for one of the most exiting discussions in the TC40 , and that is the Keynote panel where the Sequoia’s Michael Moritz interviews Marc Andreesen (founder Netscape & Opsware, co-founder Ning), David Filo (co-founder Yahoo), and Chad Hurley (co-founder YouTube).

Perhaps the interview was very inspiring and tells us how ordinary people like us do extra ordinary things by expanding the breadth of their thinking. None of the three people interviewed above ( all billionaires) are sons or grandsons of billionaires. They were all common people, who have scaled up to where they are right now. No, I am sorry , what you are thinking is wrong (As most people do think), its not because of luck or destiny. Any person can do those things they did, provided they think big and work hard.

Very well said Aditya, and more and more studies and research are backing what you just mentioned.

In the new information age, accquiring the wealth is in the reach of common men/women. there are no prerequistes like son/grandson of a wealth Farmer/Industrialist etc….

    Thanks for inspiring
    Vijay

I agree to some extent. I think you’ve got to aim high and work damn hard - but many do and still fail. I think you need to have a little luck and be in the right place at the right time as well.
